1000 charging stations for electric cars in Italy

The Authority for Energy and Gas has promoted five pilot projects for the 1000 installation of charging stations for electric cars in Italy. The incentives will cover, in particular, the major cities from north to south. Each pilot project will receive a contribution of up to 2015. Projects will be selected from a group of experts of the Authority and by the public company CSR based on the provisions of the ARG / elt 242/10. Until 31 March 2011 the Authority has received requests for benefits for ten projects. Project managers will be required to feed back information to the Authority of the half to allow the study of the results. The initiative is designed to standardize and regulate the nascent market for recharging electric cars. The Authority has already introduced a protection mechanism to prevent excessive price increases than the cost of electricity (eg, network costs, infrastructure, etc..)
