Safety for All 2007

safety renaultThe road safety awareness of 1.2 million children across the world enhanced by Renault. Every year since its launch in 2000, Renault's international 'Safety for All' campaign has given primary school teachers a chance to develop their pupils' awareness relating to road safety issues thanks to a specially-tailored kit of teaching material and a drawing competition. This year's scheme has enabled Renault to reach out to more than 1.2 million children aged between 7 and 11 across the world. The seventh year of the international 'Safety for All' programme saw the participation of eight countries, with the children producing almost 6,000 drawings on the theme of 'Getting to School Safely'. On June 9, the winning classes from the eight participating countries were invited to visit Disneyland Paris where 200 children had gathered for the International Finals which brought the seventh edition of the 'Safety for All' programme to a fittingly cordial and festive close. Aimed at primary school pupils and teachers, this aspect of Renault's international 'Safety for All' programme is based on a free 'Kids on the Road' teacher's kit and an international 'Safety for All' drawing competition. This year saw the scheme sensitize some 1.2 million children across the world aged between 7 and 11 to the issue of road safety. The 'Safety for All' drawing competition was run in eight countries, namely Cyprus, France, Mexico, Poland, Portugal, Russia, Switzerland and Turkey and Renault received a total of almost 6,000 drawings. After winning their respective national finals, 200 children from the eight participating countries travelled to Disneyland Paris on June 8-10 to share their ideas on road safety matters.
